About University Health Network

University Health Network (UHN) is a major landmark in Canada’s healthcare system and a teaching partner of the University of Toronto. UHN consists of Toronto General and Toronto Western Hospitals, the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and the Michener Institute for Education at UHN. The scope of research and complexity of cases at University Health Network has made it a national and international source for discovery, education and patient care. It has the largest hospital-based research program in Canada, with major research in cardiology, transplantation, neurosciences, oncology, surgical innovation, infectious diseases, genomic medicine and rehabilitation medicine.

Building on the strengths and reputation of each of our four hospitals, UHN brings together the innovation, talent and resources needed to fulfill our vision of achieving global impact on the healthcare scene. The Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation, Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and Toronto Rehab Foundations are dedicated to supporting this vision by raising funds for research, medical education and capital equipment.

UHN prides itself on continually building a workplace of choice, where people want to work, learn and practice care. Our purpose is to transform lives and communities through excellence in care, discovery and learning. The needs of our patients come first. Our values include: safety, compassion, teamwork, integrity and stewardship.
