OPENINGS, SUMMER JOURNALISTS
The London Free Press, Southwestern Ontario’s leading news provider, is looking for enthusiastic, energetic multi-media journalists for its summer reporting program, working for our digital platforms and print product, and for nearby sister newspapers
in the Postmedia chain.
Successful applicants will be expected to handle a wide variety of assignments – from breaking news and feature writing, to lifestyles, sports and business. Online reporting savvy – writing that meets the twin demands of speed and quality, an ability to handle photo and video work and to use social media to advantage – are crucial.
Applications to human resources director Nancy Tyndall (firstname.lastname@example.org) will be accepted until March 10, and can be sent by email, mail or courier. In the email subject field, clearly label your submission ‘summer job application.’
Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews.
Applications should include a covering letter that sings, a resume, several writing samples attesting to the applicant’s breadth and depth of experience and samples of multi-media work. A valid driver’s licence is required, and a vehicle is an asset.
