Daniela is the News Media Production Assistant at the School of Journalism.
She joined the team in 2017 as the Administration and Communication Representative after graduating from the journalism program.
She enjoys assisting prospective and current students, faculty and staff and working on projects collaboratively. She provides administrative and organizational support and maintains equipment and facilities for the School of Journalism.
She also oversees the RSJ newsletter and provides technical guidance on curricular and co-curricular production work as well as demonstrates proper use of equipment and software.
Prior to her studies at Ryerson, she travelled throughout Europe and Asia. She lived in South Korea for two years where she pursued her International Baccalaureate at Busan International Foreign School. She also taught English to children at the Nquyen Nga Centre in Hanoi, Vietnam.
She enjoys digital journalism, writing articles and doing photography with her Canon 7D.
Daniela has written and done photography for The Eyeopener and Ryerson Folio and has produced video for Ryerson TV News. She was the Managing Editor of Digital at The Ryersonian and ryersonian.ca. She also interned and freelances at Today’s Parent magazine. On her spare time, she designs and creates branded content for the Sashbear Foundation.
