Daniela is an experienced multimedia journalist and communication professional who graduated from the Ryerson School of Journalism in 2017.

She enjoys reading and watching the news on a daily basis and follows stories that are happening locally and internationally.

Prior to her studies at Ryerson, she travelled around Europe and Asia. She lived in South Korea for two years where she pursued her international baccalaureate at Busan International Foreign School. She also taught basic English to children at the Nquyen Nga Centre in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Her travels inspired her to pursue a career in journalism.

She enjoys digital journalism, web building and doing photography with her Canon 7D.

Daniela has had the opportunity to write and do photography for The Eyeopener and Ryerson Folio and to produce video for Ryerson TV News. Furthermore, she was an editorial intern at Today’s Parent magazine where she produced copy and web built articles and photo galleries. She was also the Managing Editor of Digital at The Ryersonian and ryersonian.ca – a weekly newspaper produced by students in their final year of the journalism program.

Currently, Daniela works for the Ryerson school of journalism as an Administration and Communication Officer. She enjoys assisting students, faculty and staff and working collaboratively with others.

She oversees the newsletter and acts as a media production assistant for the broadcast workshops, assisting students with technical inquiries and putting together shows.

She is driven towards a successful career in journalism and communications.
